Post-communist Monuments Database Search

Use this page to search our database of information on monuments and memorial in 26 post-Communist states. The database identifies new, altered, proposed, and threatened sites, focusing primarily but not exclusively on post-Communist capital cities from 1989-2010. As we are interested in identifying politically salient events, our data is drawn from a wide range of newspaper and wire reports from around the world in English, English translation, Russian, and Czech. We plan to add additional language sources in the future.

Possible values for ownership are "public", "private" and "mixed".
